Sometimes, you just have to play the hits. Yes, everyone’s heard those songs by the Ramones, Dead Boys, Cheap Trick and Stranglers over the years but this still isn’t classic punk rock radio. I balance that with plenty of bands you might not have heard of and will hopefully check out. It’s certainly easy enough to do, these days, through various blogs, Bandcamp, etc. That’s where a lot of the new material I play on the show comes from.
