What is up with these Republican candidates saying they were told by God to run for President? Herman Cain is the latest to tell a Republican audience about his personal chat with the Lord, even comparing himself to Moses and I think it’s a line he’s used more than once. It’s silly enough when sports teams pray for God to give their team a victory—although I imagine that might be of interest to God if he/she had money on the game. One year until the election—and I’m sure I’ll have no shortage of audio clips to share with you as the campaigns continue to ramp up. I promise I won’t overdo it, though. Of course, politicians often make promises and we know how that usually works out!
