Sometimes after I’ve finished the editing for this show, I’ll put on a progressive talk station. Today, I had it on for about a minute and I just couldn’t take it. Too damned depressing. The beginning of this week’s show is also pretty damned depressing, Rand Paul’s victory speech after being elected Senator in Kentucky. A dyed-in-the-wool tea party member and his ideology is dangerous for America. The Senate did remain in Democratic hands but not the House. Look, the whole process is a clusterfuck, I’m not even in the mood to go into too much detail because the burnout level has been reached. I picked just one clip to exemplify things. When Richard Nixon resigned in 1974, Gerald Ford said that our long national nightmare is over. I can see a new one beginning. America commits suicide, indeed.
