Sonic Overload 1/23/12

A long show today, over 2 hours and 15 minutes. And I probably could have gone longer since I have more records already put aside for next week. No complaints there. I often wonder if I should make the show longer, go an extra set but I kind of like the flow of the four set format and not every show will go as long as this one.

I get the political content out of the way right at the top. Mitt Romney, a man who gives plutocrats a bad name, expounds on the politics of class envy or something like that. What a pompous asshole. He lost to Newt Gingrich in the South Carolina primary. Gingrich has his own flaws. Plenty of them. But he has broad-based party appeal—the racists love him, the religious fanatics love him and those who believe in the cruelest sort of social Darwinism love him. I imagine people who cheat on their wives or husbands love him, as well.

But let’s move on and listen to some punk rock...
