Sonic Overload 3/12/12--12th Annversary Show!

That’s right—12 years of this swill. Sonic Overload debuted on Allston-Brighton Free Radio on March 13, 2000, under its original name Inflammable Material. I’ve been webcasting since mid-2003 and the show’s been web-only since early 2005. The playlist this week certainly skews towards older material. In fact, a good chunk of this playlist could have been from March 12, 2002 instead of 2012 and this show feels like a throwback, although I’m not talking a mile a minute like I did then. It’s a good week to do it since it’s been kind of quiet for new arrivals, although I do play some brand-spankin’ new records.

It goes without saying that I appreciate all the support over the years. As always, I dedicate the anniversary show to Steve Provizer, the founder of Allston-Brighton Free Radio and Steve Lord, Josh Kanter and Seth Olansky, who graciously let me co-host their show The Next Generation at Masconomet High in 1998-99.
