The show is bookended with some “real life” topics—I begin by marking the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina’s decimation of New Orleans, through the Legendary KO’s ruminations on the failures of the Bush administration to respond in a timely and effective manner. And I wrap things up with a song inspired by the stock market’s meltdown. I know some of you anti-capitalists probably say it’s a good thing (and I’m a socialist, as many of you know) but the harsh reality is there are plenty of people watching their retirement accounts shrink, so it’s not just the rich people being affected. In fact, the non-wealthy end up taking a bigger hit. So Gang of Four’s “To Hell With Poverty” seems like an appropriate conclusion...
