Veterans Day... I have nothing against veterans. In fact, I think it’s obscene that politicians (usually with “R” after that name) who wrap themselves in the flag—and, a lot of time, are chicken hawks who never served—talk about supporting the troops but then proceed to vote against programs that help veterans. I was annoyed when listening to a sports show this morning and one of the hosts, Scott Zolak, basically said that if you don’t support the military, you should get out of the country. And there was controversy when an ESPN contributor, Kevin Blackistone, said “The Star Spangled Banner” is a war anthem. The fact that he is 100% CORRECT doesn’t matter to the blind patriots.

I’ll stop now. Dedicating this to my dad, Arthur, and my Uncle George, who served during and after WWII
