Sonic Overload 11/4/13

It’s the first week back on standard time and the first week where I recorded a good amount of show after the sun was down. I have a little psychological trick I use though—I have a clock radio in here and never change the time. So when it’s, say, 5:00, my clock says 6:00. It helps fight off the seasonal affect disorder, I suppose. Yes, that’s weird.

In the meantime, I start this show with a garage classic and a song that’s played after the Red Sox win a game at Fenway Park. They won a big one there last week and it resulted in their third World Series championship in ten years. Given the horrific events this city endured this year—specifically, the Marathon bombings on Patriots Day in April—it’s definitely a feel-good moment. In the grand scheme of things, the fortunes of a sports team consisting of multi-millionaires may be trite but, you know what? If it provides a lift for people, what’s the problem? Go Sox!!

And, yes, I realized I screwed up at the end when I gave this webpage instead of the one for Stench Radio for my Wednesday webcast. But I think most of you know where to find that show at this point.
